We have meetings on the second Thursday of every month.  Our group meets at the Bahria University Karachi Campus. Our normal room is Presentation hall #1 but check the visual displays when you arrive to confirm.

In an ongoing attempt to make the content presented useful to our members we start each meeting with a short Q&A session.  Unless noted in the meeting notes the schedule for each meeting will be:

 Controlling and Reusing Query Plans with Kalen Delaney

Thanks for our friends at ClearData Kalen Delaney is presenting this full-day seminar on March 26th, 2008 and will cover techniques available for determining if, when and how you should override the optimizer's choice of query plans. It will also cover how to determine if your plans are being reused, how you can determine if reuse is desirable for your queries, and how you can control query caching behavior.

Although the demonstrations will be run on SQL Server 2005, much of the information presented will relevant to SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2008 as well.

Sumair is Software Architect at Eastern Solutions. He is also founder and User Group Leader of BIMCS.NET(INETA MEA) and Microsoft Students Partner for Bahria University Pakistan. He has been into software development for almost 4 years, his area of expertise is C# and did quite a lot of work with .NET Framwork,WPF, WCF, Sql Server & Mobile Deveopment.

Taimur is a student of Software Engineering at Bahria University. In his free time he loves to watch Formula One & Tennis. He is also Vice-Presidnt of Software Engineering society in Bahria University and is leading INETA usergroup BIMCS.NET.
